Because we built it, nobody knows your boat better. From upholstery to the drivetrain and everything in between, we can do it all. Along with your project list, your boat will undergo a 76 point inspection to identify potential problems before they become major headaches. Once all repairs are complete, your boat will be certified. “Fountain Certified” is more than just a window sticker. It’s a new lease on life for your boat, a profit-making sign of confidence when selling and a must-have if you’re shopping pre-owned Fountains.

Fountain Certified is going to change the way boaters buy and sell pre-owned Fountains. With a 40+ year track record to run on, there are literally thousands of our boats still on the water. Here’s the problem: Sellers list their boat on a social media platform and three days later it’s buried under a sea of newer posts. Enter FountainCertified.com. In February 2024, our new listing service will provide a much-needed platform for pre-owned Fountains (Certified and Non-Certified) as boaters let their fingers do the shopping 24/7.

Nobody on the planet has built more high-performance stern drive sportboats than Fountain. We’re here if your boat needs a tune-up, major overhaul or a complete repower.

Our tournament fishing boats started the high-performance outboard center console craze. We are Mercury Certified for repairs, parts replacement, and every aspect of rigging or set-up.
DRIVETRAIN
Stern drive or outboard, we’re top-tier when it comes to getting the horsepower to the water. We are masters at skeg repair, gear issues and propeller optimization.

Most of the boats we’ve built are still on the water. That’s quite a legacy to live up to. If your boat is structurally sound, upgrading to “Certified” standards is a solid investment. In addition to upholstery, graphics and engine repairs, we also offer a suite of construction options and repairs. Attention to detail set us apart. For repairs big and small, nobody does it better than the people that made your boat originally.

Whether it’s bigger jobs like replacing your wooden transom with Coosa board and installing a new stringer system, or just fixing cosmetic cracks, we’ve got you covered.

Our metal shop can recreate original parts ranging from T-tops, and windhsield frames to bow rails or grab handles. We can also change it up and install new-look hardware.
MECHANICAL SYSTEMS
We can replace any mechanical system with genuine parts including batteries, bilge pumps, steering systems, sea strainers, trim tabs etc.

Anything is possible including relocating drive heights, blueprinting the bottom, fine tuning propellers or revving up more horsepower.

Will Your Prices be Competitive?
Yes. Keep in mind, Fountain Certified is not a local job shop but the original location where your boat was built. Smaller, less experienced local providers can’t compete with our decades of experience, quality, know-how, or attention to detail. Our mindset is to do it right at a competitive price.
What About Timing?
We anticipate widespread interest. Orders will be processed on a first-come, first-served basis. Winter is an ideal time to begin major projects.
Do You Provide Protected Storage?
Yes, on a limited basis.
Can I Track My Project's Status?
Periodic updates will be sent via email. A Fountain Certified Customer Service representative will be available via phone or online to answer questions.
Do You Use All Genuine Parts?
Whenever possible, we use Mercury or MerCruiser certified parts for all outboard, sterndrive and drivetrain repairs. Additionally, we use only top tier brands for all mechanical hardware including bilge pumps, trim pumps, trim tabs etc. Many parts, including rails, harnesses, custom rigging and other components will be custom fabricated at Fountain.
Are Factory Visits Available?
Yes. We encourage you to visit our world-class facility and see firsthand why Fountain Certified is uniquely qualified to handle any refurbishing project. Tour our facility and meet the craftsmen and engineers that will ramrod your project.
Will You Water Test Engine and Drivetrain Repairs?
Yes. Like all our new boats, if your boat includes repairs or upgrades to the engines or drivetrain, your boat will be water-tested and include a complete performance report prior to delivery.
Will You Work On Boats Other Than Fountain?
We will consider all projects, but prioritize Fountain owners.
Do You Accept Insurance Work?
Yes. Based on past experience, insurance companies look favorably on factory certified repairs and in some cases, you can expect faster approval times and higher approval rates.
Can You Convert An Analog Dash to Digital?
Depending on the model, we are able to update most electronic components.
How Far Back Can You Go?
Obviously, the newer the boat, the more likely we can tackle your project. We’ve been building boats for more than 40 years. Most are still on the water today. Refurbishing Reggie’s hull #1 shows the scope of what can be done.
